- Job Details
- Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN's to work at
their facilities.
- The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9/9 (allows
them to finish a contract by 11/30).
- Periop/OR RN's, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt
from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the
11/30 deadline. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN,
SDS.
- IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a $3.00 bill
rate bump per hour.
- First Time Travelers Accepted.
- Staffing Ratios: 1:5-6.
- Unit Information: 3 North is a medical-surgical unit
specializing in post-operative care of colorectal surgery patients.
- Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 Years of Experience
- Level 1 Trauma Experience Preferred
- Schedule Information
- Shift Requirements: 4x12 or 3x12
- Call-Ins: Expected to make up the day or the shift will be
added at the end of the contract.
- Weekends: Expected to work every other week per contract.
Consecutive weekends may be needed.
- Charge coverage: Unit charge nurse responsibilities may be
needed with provided training and resources.
- Unit Specific Information
- 3 North is a medical-surgical unit specializing in
post-operative care of colorectal surgery patients.
- We do care for patients who need negative-airflow rooms, so
candidates must be fit-tested for an N95 mask or trained on how to
use a PAPR device for care of these patients.
- Effective 9/1, the COVID vaccine is required for all travelers
at IU Health campuses. Declinations will not be accepted; however,
medical or religious exemptions will be accepted with a doctor's
note provided.
