TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified CVOR RN in Dayton, Ohio, 45409 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day, 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:00) Guaranteed Hours: Information not provided Experience: Minimum one year of Operating Room experience License: Valid Ohio Registered Nurse License Certifications: - Current CPR required - ACLS certification required Must-Have: - Experience with open heart surgeries - Ability to scrub and circulate in the CVOR Job Description: - Position available for a Registered Nurse specializing in CVOR with open heart experience. - Includes call requirements: 1 night on a weekday and 1 weekend per month. - Must be willing to float to other medical centers as needed. - The unit consists of 28 operating rooms, performing mostly general and orthopedic cases, as well as urology, gynecology, and spine surgeries. - Responsible for maintaining high nursing standards for patient caseloads and coordinates care delivered by the interdisciplinary team. - Ensures compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act and other regulatory standards and policies. - Provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support impacting patient outcomes and care. - Requires willingness to work with acutely ill patients, including emergency situations. - Must adapt to changing environments and work independently or as part of a team and may serve as a charge nurse when assigned. - Consistent practice with the standards and regulations of the Ohio Board of Nursing. - Completion of lab work and EKG/Dysrhythmia exam required within 72 hours of contract signing for all RN units except specific exceptions. - Not required to complete lab work if exemptions apply. - Flu vaccine required, with medical/religious exemptions considered. Please note that training modules are required and may take up to 24 hours, to be completed during orientation and up to 8 hours annually.
