  • Department Details: 5C is a 31 bed med-surg unit with a concentration in general surgery, urology, gynecology and bariatric surgery. Must have 3-4's in Bariatric Surgery, Thyroidectomy, Bowel Obstruction, and CBI
  • Patient Ratio: 1:6
  • Effective 9/1, the COVID vaccine is required for all travelers at IU Health campuses. Declinations will not be accepted; however, medical or religious exemptions will be accepted with a doctor's note provided.

        • Additional Details
        • Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN's to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9/9 (allows them to finish a contract by 11/30).**
        • Periop/OR RN's, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS**
        • IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a $3.00 bill rate bump per hour
