We are seeking a patient-focused Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our close-knit Hospitalist team! The Hospitalist Service at Indiana University, University Hospital cares for a very complex patient population and collaborates with subspecialists to deliver care. Advanced Practice Providers are empowered to practice with autonomy in a supportive environment that fosters learning and career growth. Position Details:

  • Full Time, Night shift
    • 3 12-hour shifts, 4p-4a, 6p-6a, or 7a-7p
    • Every 3rd rotating weekend commitment
    • Rotating holidays
    • No call
    • Opportunity for extra shifts and coverage at other IU hospitals including Methodist, West, and NorthKey Responsibilities:
      • Internal medicine inpatient service, overnight admissions, and cross coverage.
      • Complex adult patient population; Hepatology/GI/Transplant/Oncology/BMT Collaborating with multiple subspecialty services.
      • Complete H&P and initiate treatment; Answer call on established patients in-house and evaluate as needed; Evaluate patients' post-procedure/surgery.
      • Medicine consults for subspecialty services.Qualifications:
        • Master's Degree required
        • ACNP, AGNP, FNP or PA Certification required
        • 1-2 years of experience preferred
        • If new grad, Internal Medicine rotation required
