Job Description:
Hi-Tek Manufacturing is searching for experienced Tool / Fixture
Makers for 2nd shift who wish to continue his or her career as a
certified Tool Maker at an industry recognized machining
manufacturing company in the Aerospace / Gas Turbine industry.

MACHINIST EXPERIENCE** **2nd shift** Offers a generous shift
differential** 3:30pm-12:00am Mon-Fri *OT may be requestedHi-Tek is

background screening and random drug screening.Essential Duties and
TasksReporting to the Toolroom Supervisor, the Tool Maker
specializes in the construction, repair, maintenance, and
calibration of machine shop dies, jigs, fixtures, and gages.
Operates various machine tools and performs other highly skilled
work, such as laying out, fitting, and assembling parts. May
involve considerable development work, highly skilled fitting, and
adjusting. Occasionally construct tools where no design is
available on an as-needed basis. Work is usually entirely
independent of others.Analyzes and interprets blueprints,
schematics and CAD drawings as required to create and build new
fixtures, tools, and machine parts.Selects appropriate raw material
and machine processes as required to complete project to
specificationsMust be proficient at operating all toolroom
machines, such as Knee Mills, 3-5 axis mills, lathes, surface
grinders, saws, etc.Uses applied shop math such as Geometry and
Trigonometry to determine proper path to takeModifies machines to
control speed, material feed, or path of cut as required to ensure
a quality product is produced within specifications.Verifies
conformance of finished workpiece to required tolerances on design
drawings using precision measuring equipment including but not
limited to sine plates, gauge blocks, Cadillac gauge, micrometers,
calipers, dial indicators.Documents actions by reporting labor in
the ERP systemPerform under AS9100 quality standards and NADCAP
accreditationMaintains a safe and clean work environment by
performing daily housekeeping dutiesAccomplishes organization goals
by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different
requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job
accomplishmentEffective communication and people skills to maintain
a working relationship with Engineering and
ManagementDependability, integrity, cooperation and taking the

school diploma or GED equivalentTrade School / Apprenticeship for
Tool Maker or CNC Machining preferred Must meet the ITAR definition
of --120.15 U.S. person Must be proficient at operating all
toolroom machines, e.g., mills, lathes, grinders, saws, etc.Good
technical math skills (shop math, geometry, and
trigonometry)Previous tool maker experience in an
industrial/manufacturing environment required- Aerospace industry
preferredTroubleshooting/critical thinking skills Key
